Many of the activities discussed on these pages involve working with glass at a very high temperature. Working
with hot glass is a fun and exciting activity, but accidents can really spoil a good time.
There is an inherent danger when working with glass and the high temperatures required to melt it in a kiln,
torch or furnace.
It is essential that you work safely.

Please take the time to:
- Educate yourself in the safe operation of all equipment.
- Call us (503.538.5281) or the equipment manufacture if you have any
questions about the safe
operation or use of the tools and products discussed on this site.
- If children are going to be in the work area, please take the time
to educate them in safe studio practices.
- Know the laws pertaining to the storage of flammable gas.
- Secure all torches to a workbench.
- Use common sense.
- Enjoy life to the fullest.
